But what really was this project?
What you see here is the finished product. My Model. "My model of what"? The goal of this project was to create a model something (museum, building, etc.). The artists were constrained in the possible dimensions that could be used and the pieces used were constructed in a long process that included making the model on Form-Z, and cutting them out of cardboard. I decided to create a model art exhibit. Although it is not my most extravagant piece, it still holds a lot of meaning. The exhibit's theme is sculpting shapes and also minimalism. The color scheme is a reference to Piet Mondrian.
MY MODEL.
Piet Mondrian, in his later work, embraced abstract art. "By using basic forms and colors, Mondrian believed that his vision of modern art would transcend divisions in culture and become a new common language based in the pure primary colors, flatness of forms, and dynamic tension in his canvases." He simplified his designs and the color palette he used.
